RENTON, Wash. — A man wanted in connection with the 2020 shooting death of a 21-year-old in a Renton parking lot has been arrested, according to the Renton Police Department.
Oshea Larenze Williams was arrested by Renton police and booked into the King County Jail at about 11 p.m. Thursday.
Police previously identified Williams, then 25, as the suspect in the killing of Jimm Andreas Route, 21.
Route was shot multiple times on March 10, 2020, in the parking lot of Formula One Fast Lube near Rainier Avenue South and Southwest Victoria Street in Renton, police said.
Witnesses told investigators they saw a gunman fire several rounds into a parked white car.
Police identified Williams as the suspect in April 2020 but said in 2023 that he had avoided capture.
A nationwide extradition warrant had been issued for Williams on a charge of first-degree murder.
