
Detectives are looking to arrest Kyle Wayland Cathcart, 41, in the death of a family member in their home last week.
COVINGTON, Wash. — The King County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in finding a man in connection to a homicide in Covington.
Detectives said Sunday they have probable cause to arrest Kyle Wayland Cathcart, 41, in the death of a family member in their shared residence.
One person was killed and a man was injured in the incident that occurred May 1.
Cathcart was also injured in the incident and may have a black eye and bandaged hands, the sheriff’s office said. He is believed to be on foot and may be wearing a black sweater and gray sweatpants.
Deputies responded to the scene near 186th Place Southeast and Southeast 258th Place on May 1 a little after 7 a.m.
One person was found dead, and a man was injured. The man was taken to MultiCare Covington Medical Center for treatment.
Homicides are relatively rare in Covington. The sheriff’s office investigates about one per year, according to department data.
