KENT, Wash. — A 26-year-old Kent man was killed in a stabbing late Thursday at a Kent apartment complex, and a 46-year-old Kent man was arrested, according to the Kent Police Department.
Police said officers were called just before midnight to the Grandview Apartments, 3900 Veterans Drive, after reports of a stabbing in front of Building B.
When officers arrived, they found the victim on the ground without a pulse.
Officers provided medical aid until fire crews and medics arrived, but he did not survive, police said.
Witnesses told officers the suspect was still inside the residence. Police searched the area and found the 46-year-old man, who was arrested without incident.
Police said the victim was known to the suspect and to residents at the apartment complex.
The stabbing was not random, and there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the public, police said.
