ISSAQUAH, Wash. — Emergency crews were responding to a fatal crash involving a car and a semi-truck on State Route 18 on Wednesday.
Both directions of SR 18 were closed near Issaquah-Hobert Road, officials said.
A single person was injured and later died, according to law enforcement and fire officials.
First responders were working to clear the scene, but officials did not give an estimate for reopening the roadway.
Issaquah city streets and Issaquah-Hobart Road are not suitable for freight traffic, transportation officials said, as they encouraged drivers to seek alternative routes.
