
Police responded to a multi-vehicle collision on Wednesday, during which one elderly person was hit and killed, according to the Lacey Police Department.
LACEY, Wash. — One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Lacey on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Lacey Police Department.
Officers responded to reports that a gray pickup truck crashed into at least two others cars, then hit a building in the 6100 block of Pacific Avenue Southeast just after 4:15 p.m., Lacey police said.
An elderly pedestrian was hit and despite life-saving measures by first responders, that person died at the scene.
The pickup truck driver and another pedestrian were injured in the crash and taken to the hospital. A second person in the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Pacific Avenue Southeast between Carpenter Road Southeast and Homann Drive Southeast is shut down as crews investigate. Drivers are urged to use alternate routes.
