AUBURN, Wash. — A 17-year-old boy was shot on a bus in Auburn on Thursday night, according to the Auburn Police Department.
The shooting took place around 9:30 p.m. near 29th Street Southeast and M Street Southeast. According to a police spokesperson, the shooting took place on a King County Metro bus.
The teen was taken to Harborview Medical Center with at least one gunshot wound.
Police said a K9 track is underway and officers are continuing to search for the suspect.
Drivers should avoid the intersection, which is closed as law enforcement investigate.
Auburn police are leading the investigation with assistance from the King County Sheriff’s Office.
