
Kent police say a 48-year-old man shot and killed his father, then killed himself on Tuesday night.
KENT, Wash. — Two people are dead after a shooting in Kent on Tuesday night, according to the Kent Police Department.
Officers responded to the 27100 block of 31st Place Southwest around 9:30 p.m. for reports of a shooting.
Assistant Chief Jarod Kasner said officers found two men with gunshot wounds inside a home. A witness told police that the suspect, a 48-year-old man, shot his 70-year-old father and then killed himself, Kasner said.
Detectives with Kent police are investigating the incident. It’s not clear what led up to the shooting, but Kasner said there is no threat to the community.
