
A multi-county chase began with an armed carjacking in Woodinville, leading to crashes and three suspects still on the run.
WOODINVILLE, Wash. — An armed carjacking in Woodinville kicked off a multi-county chase and several car crashes on Sunday, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
A person was carjacked at gunpoint in Woodinville and another car was stolen in Monroe, deputies said. When a deputy spotted the three suspect vehicles, the drivers sped off and split up.
One of the cars crashed in Bellevue; the driver ran off and was not captured, the sheriff’s office said.
The second vehicle crashed in Pierce County and was abandoned. The suspect has not been found.
Washington State Patrol found the third vehicle crashed and the suspect also has not been found.
At some point during the chase, a Snohomish County deputy’s patrol car was hit.
It’s unclear how many people in total were injured during the incident, but Bellevue police tell KING 5 that some victims were transported to a local hospital. No one had serious injuries.
