
A crash involving multiple semi-trucks blocked northbound I-5 in Lewis County, causing major delays.
TOLEDO, Wash — All lanes of northbound Interstate 5 are blocked near Toledo in Lewis County after three semi-trucks crashed Monday morning.
The Washington State Department of Transportation first reported the crash at 7:43 a.m. It occurred near milepost 60, which is near the interchange with state Route 506.
It involves three semi-trucks and is expected to be an involved clean-up, according to WSDOT. Cleanup crews are on the scene with 20 bags of absorbent and a sweeper.
Traffic is getting by using the on- and off-ramps at milepost 60.
An earlier crash on northbound I-5 about 5 miles north of the semi crash is also causing back-ups. In that incident, a car struck a WSDOT attenuator truck that was blocking one of the lanes for maintenance, according to Washington State Patrol.
Drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes.
