
Seattle police are investigating the shooting and searching for the suspect.
SEATTLE — The Seattle Police Department is investigating after a man was found shot Tuesday morning in West Seattle.
Officers were dispatched about 10:50 a.m. to a shooting in an alley to the west of Delridge Way Southwest and 17th Avenue Southwest. A 32-year-old man was found shot in the back in a small encampment.
The Seattle Fire Department treated the man at the scene, and he was taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition for treatment.
The suspect left before police arrived. Law enforcement is currently trying to locate the suspect. Seattle police’s K9 unit and the King County Sheriff’s Office are assisting with the search.
The public is not believed to be in danger as police believe this was a targeted shooting.
