SEATTLE — Fans heading to the Mariners game tonight or commuters heading home will hit travel delays on the light rail.
Sound Transit says the 1 Line and 2 Line trains are delayed due to mechanical issues. Those trains are arriving every 35 to 40 minutes “until further notice.”
1 Line light rail trains resumed regular service just before 6 p.m., but Sound Transit warned there may be delays are service recovers.
2 Line Shuttle buses are replacing the 2 Line from Judkins Park to the International District/Chinatown until further notice due to mechanical issue.
Sound Transit did not clarify what mechanical issues are impacting the trains.
Riders are encouraged to board all trains on the platform south to Federal Way Downtown.
The Seattle Mariners are facing the Oakland Athletics at T-Mobile Park tonight. First pitch is at 6:40 p.m.
