SEATTLE — The Seattle Police Department is investigating a collision involving a vehicle and two cyclists at Aurora Avenue North and Roy Street.
Authorities say that at approximately 4:25 a.m., crews responded to a vehicle collision with two bicyclists in the southbound lanes of Aurora Avenue North at Roy Street. A vehicle struck the cyclists, and both suffered critical injuries.
Emergency crews treated two patients at the scene, including an estimated 30-year-old woman and an estimated 28-year-old man. Both were transported by medics to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
Police said southbound Aurora Avenue North is expected to be blocked for an extended period as officers continue their investigation.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area.
