SEATTLE — An incident at the BP Cherry Point Refinery prompted an emergency response Saturday, leaving three people injured.
Officials say the situation at the refinery has been contained and does not pose a risk to nearby communities. Three individuals were hurt and transported to a local hospital for treatment. All other staff members have been accounted for.
The Whatcom County Fire District No. 7 said its fire crews responded to the scene and provided medical transport to those injured.
