Rainier Beer’s R-Day returns to Seattle this fall, featuring live music, beer gardens benefiting local merchants, and a new food truck garden.

SEATTLE — Rainier Beer’s annual R-Day celebration is returning to Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood this fall with a full day of live music, beer gardens and community events.

The free festival, hosted by Rainier Beer, kicks off Sept. 12 and will feature performances from indie rock group DEHD, Seattle-based band Telehealth, Spokane psych-rock trio Kadabra and Seattle DJ and emcee Lace Cadence.

Organizers describe R-Day as a “thank you letter” to Rainier fans and say the event will once again transform Georgetown into a hub for music, costumes and neighborhood celebration.

Festivalgoers will be able to purchase Rainier beer at several beer gardens throughout the event or visit local Georgetown bars participating in the festivities. Organizers said all proceeds from the beer gardens will benefit the Georgetown Merchants Association. They also said drink prices will remain affordable without traditional festival surcharges.

The event will also bring back its free arcade attraction. New for 2026, organizers are adding a food truck garden.

R-Day first launched in 2013 after the return of the iconic red “R” sign atop Rainier’s former brewery building. The celebration has since grown into a yearly tradition that attracts thousands of attendees.

The festival is open only to guests 21 and older and admission remains free.
