SEATTLE — If you’re looking for the purr-fect night to get out to a Mariners game this season – a mid-summer night game may just might be the one for you.
The Mariners are hosting “Take Meow’t to the Ballgame” on Tuesday, July 21. The home game starts at 6:40 p.m. with the Cincinnati Reds in town.
Five dollars of each special themed ticket will benefit Seattle Area Feline Rescue – a rescue Muñoz partnered with last season to raise funds and awareness.
Important note for all Mariners fans (and feline fans) – cats are not permitted at the ballpark for this game.
The game honors Seattle’s favorite “cat dad” and star relief pitcher, Andrés Muñoz, with a limited bobblehead that features his feline, Matilda.
Matilda is no stranger to the spotlight. She has her own Instagram. She also travels with her parents to away games.
Muñoz and his wife rescued Matilda in Mexico and set out to give her the best life possible. Paws down, it appears they have achieved that.
If you want to get your hands on the special bobblehead featuring the dynamic duo – you must buy your tickets using this link. Then, on game night, you can redeem your Andrés and Matilda Muñoz Bobblehead – while supplies last – by bringing your ticket to the top of the Left Field Ramp before the end of the third inning.
As of Saturday morning, May 30, there were only about 200 left.
