SEATTLE — A fire involving an RV spread to two homes in West Seattle on Saturday morning, prompting a second alarm response from firefighters, according to the Seattle Fire Department.
Seattle Fire crews responded around 11:40 a.m. to the 10200 block of 26th Avenue SW, where firefighters arrived to find an RV and the house behind it heavily involved in flames, a spokesperson said.
Crews upgraded the response to a second alarm after seeing the amount of fire upon arrival.
Firefighters extinguished the RV fire and the house fire while protecting a neighboring home to the north from further damage, Seattle Fire said.
The RV was declared a total loss, according to King County Fire District 2 and Puget Sound Fire. The house behind the RV suffered significant fire damage, while a neighboring home sustained only minor damage because of firefighters’ quick response.
No injuries were reported, and fire officials said the cause is still under investigation.
