
A 41-year-old man was struck and killed attempting to cross I-405 in Bothell, closing northbound lanes for over three hours, according to Washington State Patrol.
BOTHELL, Wash. — Interstate 405 northbound was closed more than three hours overnight after a person attempting to cross the freeway was struck and killed.
The incident occurred Monday around 3 a.m. just south of NE 160th Street in the northbound lanes of I-405 in Bothell.
A person exited a car stopped on the shoulder and attempted to cross the interstate, but was struck by another car traveling north, according to Washington State Patrol.
The 41-year-old man from Everett died after being struck.
The freeway was shut down for three hours and 16 minutes, WSP said.
