TACOMA, Wash. — Tacoma-based nonprofit Mi Centro is gearing up for an inaugural breakfast gala event to be held at the end of May.
Corazon y Cultura (“Heart and Cultura”) will be held from 9-10 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, at Edison Square.
Mi Centro’s Executive Director Priscila Desiderio joined KING 5 Weekend Mornings to talk about the event.
Desiderio said people can expect specials guests and speakers including Washington state Sen. Javier Valdez, Samuel A. Bradshaw, of WorkForce Central, and Chef Blanca Rodriguez.
Sarai Legaspi, the coordinator for Camino al Éxito (“Road to Success”), Mi Centro’s small business assistance program, also joined KING 5 to talk about the wide variety of resources available to those looking to become an entrepreneur. Some of the services including, education, business planning, and networking.
