
A 46-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times in the head on Friday afternoon, according to the Seattle Police Department.
SEATTLE — A 19-year-old man is in custody after a woman was stabbed multiple times in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood on Friday afternoon, according to the Seattle Police Department (SPD).
Officers responded around 1 p.m. to the 6700 block of East Marginal Way after reports that a staff member had been stabbed. Inside a building, police found a 46-year-old woman who had been stabbed in the head multiple times.
The woman was transported to Harborview Medical Center.
Police located the suspect, 19-year-old man, outside of the building. He was eventually taken into custody and booked into jail for assault.
It’s not clear what led up to the stabbing.
The department’s Homicide and Assault Unit is investigating.
