Lewis County fire station reports break-in, theft of hydraulic rescue tools

Firefighters in Curtis say a late-night break-in at their station left them missing a cutter, spreader and saw.

LEWIS COUNTY, Wash. — A man broke into the Boistfort fire station in Curtis late Wednesday and stole several pieces of equipment, according to the Boistfort Firefighters Association.

The break-in happened April 22 between about 10 p.m. and 10:25 p.m. at the station at 997 Boistfort Road in Lewis County, the association said.

Chief Turner said the stolen items include a TNT 7 3/4-inch Brute Force C-Cutter, a TNT 28-inch Spreader and a Stihl K12 saw.

The association said video from cameras inside the station captured the man inside the building.

Anyone who saw anything or has information is asked to contact Lewis County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Holmes at 360-748-9286 and reference case No. 26C4929.
