
The 38-year-old victim died from his injuries on April 15. The suspect, a 44-year-old man, remains in jail.
LYNNWOOD, Wash. — A 38-year-old man has died after he was shot at a Lynnwood pub on Friday, April 10, according to the Lynnwood Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting at the Just Left Pub and Grill in the 4300 block of 198th Street Southwest in Lynnwood just after 10 p.m.
The victim, identified as 38-year-old Mecos O’Neal, was transported to the hospital. He died from his injuries just a few days later on April 15.
The suspect is a 44-year-old man, who was arrested in Marysville and booked into the Snohomish County Jail. KING 5 does not name suspects until they are charged in court.
Officials have not released additional information about what led up to the shooting.
Lynnwood police are asking for anyone with information about the shooting or who was in the area at the time to provide information to [email protected].
Through the police department, O’Neal’s family said he was a “was a kind and outgoing person who was a friend to everyone he met.”
They said O’Neal was a father, son, brother, husband and valued community member with strong faith in God. O’Neal loved the Sounders, coaching his kids’ soccer team and cooking. Above all else, his family said, he loved his family.
