SEATTLE — A rollover crash early Sunday morning led to a DUI arrest in south Seattle.
According to police, an officer on routine patrol around 6:49 a.m. spotted a vehicle traveling southbound near Rainier Avenue and South 51st Avenue. The car hit a raised median and overturned onto its side.
Seattle Fire Department crews responded and used specialized rescue equipment to free the driver, a 35-year-old man, who was trapped inside the vehicle. The driver was not injured.
After the driver was removed, officers conducted a DUI investigation and determined the driver was impaired. He was taken into custody and transported to Harborview Medical Center by AMR as a precaution.
