Seattle first responders perform rapid rescue of person pinned under vehicle

The person was stuck underneath a vehicle in south Seattle.

SEATTLE — Seattle emergency responders extracted a person pinned under a vehicle on Saturday, officials said.

Seattle Fire Department crews received a call around 2:12 p.m. Saturday that a person in the 9000 block of 46th Avenue S, in south Seattle near Rainier Beach, was stuck underneath a vehicle. 

In the course of about ten minutes, first responders left the station, arrived at the scene, and extracted the person from underneath the vehicle.

By 2:21 p.m., the individual was removed from underneath the vehicle. They are now being evaluated for injuries, SFD said.
