
Two people were shot and killed late Tuesday in Kent’s East Hill neighborhood. Kent police said no one was in custody.
KENT, Wash. — Two people died in a shooting in Kent’s East Hill neighborhood late Tuesday.
Police responded to the scene in the 21000 block of 120th Place SE around 10:22 p.m. after receiving several reports of gun shots in the area. The caller also reported hearing an argument as well as cars speeding away, police said.
Responding officers heard yelling behind a home and found two people who had been shot, according to Kent police. Officers and medics attempted life-saving measures, but both victims died from the injuries.
The victims were a 25-year-old Seattle resident and a 26-year-old Federal Way resident. No other details were immediately available.
No one has been arrested in the shooting. Police said they believe the suspects and the victims knew each other.
A search warrant was issued early Wednesday, allowing police to enter and search the residence where the shooting took place.
The road was blocked off for the investigation overnight.

Two separate crime scenes spread police resources as Kent police were also investigating a fatal stabbing on W Meeker Street.
