
A 16-year-old and a 19-year-old were shot on Tuesday afternoon in the 600 block of South Jackson Street, Seattle police say.
SEATTLE — Two people were shot in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Officers responded just after 4 p.m. to the 600 block of South Jackson Street. Detective Brian Pritchard said officers found two people — a 16-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man — with gunshot wounds.
The victims were taken to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
Police spoke with witnesses who said a sedan was driving eastbound on South Jackson Street when it stropped in front of the teens. An altercation occurred between the suspect vehicle and the victims before shots rang out.
The vehicle fled the scene and has not been located, Pritchard said.
